This week as ever we carry on trying to do our best on a daily basis to make sense of this planet and all of us on it. I had a big shock this week when I found out that my chiropractor had died at the age of 45. The coroner’s report revealed that he had hanged himself. People still can’t believe it as he was such an upbeat, positive guy. It just goes to show that we never truly know what’s going on in people’s lives. Last time I had seen him – a fortnight ago – he was talking to me about all his plans and his great ideas to set up a clinic for underprivileged children. I admired him so much and was so aware of the good that he brought into so many people’s lives….
So this week – as we encounter so many different experiences…. the sad checkout girl, the happy postman, the curt bus driver or the cheerful hairdresser….how are they really? Why not give them that extra moment to ask how they are or at the very least give them a nod or a smile. You never know how much good that gesture could be and maybe, just maybe, you might help turn their life around…
Lovely words Mike with a great MMM. Sorry to read about your friend.
