Hot on the heels of this week’s Autumnal Equinox, the space agency NASA is about to announce on Monday new findings about Jupiter’s ocean-harboring moon Europa. We’ve been told that – thanks to the hubble telescope – there will be surprising evidence of activity that may be related to the presence of a subsurface ocean on Europa.
Also next week there’s more celestial activity with a second new moon in a single month, an event sometimes call a “Black Moon.”
As Neil and Pete will tell us, most months we typically have one full moon and one new moon. A second full moon in a single calendar month is sometimes called a “Blue Moon.” A “Black Moon” is a second new moon in a single calendar month and that happens as we bid farewell to September on Friday.
As our beautiful universe continues to reveal its mysteries, we try to make sense of what happens on our own beautiful planet as we spin at over 1,000 MPH. Despite the amazing speed as we hurtle through space, things can seem calm and settled. During this coming week maybe it’s worth considering that. Even if all around you is spinning out of control or moving at remarkable speed, tap into that inner sanctum of peace and stillness at your very core. That way you can stay calm, level and tranquil no matter what.
And to help us on the way, our weekly chill out together….
