Not only a new month, but a new season.
Welcome to September.
Welcome to Autumn.
In the blink of an eye the leaves will be falling, conkers will be played and the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness will hopefully offer an abundant harvest. At least in this part of the world.
Elsewhere on this magnificent planet millions across South Asia – Bangladesh, Nepal and India – are being affected by the worst monsoons in memory, while flooding creates havoc in the wake of Tropical Storm Harvey in Texas and Louisiana.
Such events remind every one of us to count our blessings on a daily basis. Someone who was a great champion of this belief died this week. Louise L Hay, the founder of Hay House Publishing was a self-help guru who brought writings of comfort, solace and encouragement to millions throughout the world. She encouraged such great thinkers as Dr Wayne Dyer and even the Dalai Lama to share their pearls of wisdom. It was her publishing house that brought Anita Moorjani’s story to a huge audience. Anita was the woman who was ‘riddled’ with cancer, had a near death experience and returned to bring her message – that fear can create illness and that instead we should realise we are all loved beyond measure. Oh and she alleges that all of the cancer disappeared after her NDE as she relinquished fear – and she has medical doctor’s certificates to prove it.
As Shakespeare put it, There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy. Whether we believe such tales or not, they are messages of positivity and light in a world that sometimes seems dark and desperate. And for those who believe, those who have gone before us tell us we are all creating our reality and soon we will all be reunited again in the next episode of our eternal adventure. So we might as well make a good job of things while we can!
As we listen to the most blissful chill out track I’ve found in sometime let’s reflect on the words of Louise L Hay on her website right now…..
In the infinity of life where I am, all is perfect, whole, and complete.
