Sometimes life can be so hectic, so frantic, so busy, that we don’t give ourselves time to breathe let alone think.
Every day we are bombarded with more news stories that sound as if this planet is imploding. But what of the stories that aren’t reported? Why do we think that the ‘official’ news is any greater than that that is labelled ‘unofficial’ or ‘alternative’?
Every day people do remarkable things. Surgeons, doctors and nurses save lives. Carers give dignity to people who felt they had no future. Teachers give children the gift of literacy. And Joe Bloggs? You and me? We give inspiration through our thoughts, words and actions. Those stories are rarely reported. But that doesn’t mean they don’t happen or their power is any less.
Sometimes in all the mayhem and madness we feel that we cannot make a difference. But we surely can. In the coming week give yourself peace and quiet to recharge and think about what’s really going on. Question the stories you hear on a daily basis and ask if they truly resonate with you as the truth? Maybe they’re not?
You touch people’s lives every single day with your own, unreported story. You know it to be the truth. So breathe, take time to enjoy every moment of the coming week, reflect and listen to this week’s sublime chill out. And as you do remember the words of an inspirational man that might just spur you on to do that thing you’ve been putting off for so long. Go on. Make the difference…..
“If not us, who?
If not now, when?”
John F. Kennedy
Such true words Mike. Thank you for a nice chillout.
