This week I’ve said goodbye to my lovely Aunty who died after the devastating disease dementia got a grip. She went exactly 4 months after my baby brother died and last week I attended the funeral of another friend.
Events like these can be too much to bear. As humans we’re empathetic and socially gregarious. We mourn – like elephants, dolphins, apes and other mammals do when their close ones leave. But the words of my friend last week at his funeral – written just before his death – hold great hope. He said: ‘Grieve not that I have died, but rejoice that I have lived’.
With words like that, let us rejoice that we are still alive, that we can still make a difference on this stunning planet and that those who have left us will one day be reunited with us to continue our eternal adventures.

So sorry to hear your sad news.
Best wishes to you and your family
Thank you Mike for a lovely MMM. Lovely words.
